Blackbird Prophet was a portuguese Progressive Rock band, active between 2011 and 2016. Across several line-ups and dozens of shows in Portugal and Spain, the band's relative low profile grew, and their ambition and DIY ethos allowed them freedom through the hard work and hardships that most underground bands find themselves dealing with.

During their existence, the band recorded what would be their defining document, "Aetherea", released independently in January 2014. Nearly a year later, in December, the band would return to Estúdio Entreparedes at Porto, Portugal, to record a softer approach to some of their songs.

"Aekoustic: Live @ Estúdio Entreparedes" sees the band at the height of their chemestry, but setting the heaviness of their live shows aside and focusing on nuance and live energy and rawness. While the Live EP was shelved momentarily following the band's dissolution, it is now finally available through Microfome.
